US ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAM

The program provides students with foundation knowledge through different subjects: Phonetics, Spelling, Math, Science. Students will not only have access to a variety of engaging content, but also have the opportunity to practice their English through activities and challenges that make their learning an enjoyable journey. Besides, social skills as well as soft skills will also be focused on developing in this process.

The American elementary program was born in 1997 with the name Florida Virtual School (FLVS).
The IvyPrep Elementary program is assessed and accredited by AdvanceD and SACS CASI (Regional School Assessment and Improvement Council).

Compulsory subject

    • Language Arts

Besides vocabulary, English literature also focuses on basic reading-comprehension skills, after the course students can recognize and read many types of texts, grammar and listening and speaking skills are also focused on. this subject. Students will be exposed to and familiar with the five essential components of reading comprehension including phonemic awareness, phonology, comprehension, vocabulary and reading fluency through story reading and interactive learning methods.

    • Math

Mathematics helps students develop soft skills such as critical thinking and problem solving. Students in the course also learn the language of math in English, opening up a large professional vocabulary. The course also uses videos, songs, and vivid images to teach and review fundamental math concepts.

    • Science

Science helps stimulate students’ curiosity and builds a solid foundation of knowledge about Earth science, life science, and physical science concepts. Students will explore and learn science concepts through project activities. With this approach, children will actively learn and understand concepts to have a broader view of real life.

    • Social Studies

Sociology uses an individual approach to introduce students to knowledge of community and citizenship. With specific instruction for students in grades 1 through 5, they will familiarize themselves with the first and most basic concepts related to history, geography, citizenship, and economics.
